MADI engages institutions, donors, communities of faith, and the general public to address the problems that perpetuate poverty in Africa. Our advocacy staff works to empower communities to restore their livelihoods one person at a time.
Every day, all over Africa, unjust and unfair policies, systems, practices and attitudes force hundreds to live in poverty. Young girls and boys live on the streets where they beg to eat because their families do not have enough to take care of them; children as young five years old beg for money and food in the street in the middle of busy traffic all of them bare foot and half naked.
The only solution to such wrongs is for people to demand an end to such injustice and inequality. World MADI works to empower communities in Africa to know and to speak up for their rights at local, national and international levels.
